Part time, around 15 - 20 hours per month
Candidate must have their own (or access to a) computer, Microsoft Office/Google Suite and web camera for this role.
We are looking for a Programme Manager with passion, experience and skills to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Programme Manager is to support the administration and management of our flagship mentorship programme. The successful candidate will assist with the end-to-end cycle delivery of WIAN’s programmes, including mentor/mentee selection, pairing and orientation, content creation and organising events for programme participants, managing the mentorship scheme inbox and contributing to programme design. You will combine excellent organizational and project management skills with expertise in stakeholder management and a clear vision to lead in the delivery of WIAN’s programmes.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Manages and coordinates WIAN’s flagship mentoring programme, ensuring successful end-to end cycle delivery including selection, matching and orientation of programme participants, providing content to and communicating with programme participants, disseminating certificates to participants who have successfully graduated from the scheme, providing regular feedback to the team and strategic planning to improve the programme.
-Designs and implements program policy and procedures for recruitment and training of mentors and mentees
-Managing community engagement initiatives for the mentors and mentees to enhance their networking opportunities and skills development including events, training webinars and disseminating career related content.
-Identifying external partners and programme participants and building relationships with other relevant organisations including to scale the mentorship programme and the impact of the scheme.
-Working with the Communications Team to ensure adequate advertising and promotion of WIAN’s programmes across our online platforms and social media, as well as with external media and digital platforms.
-Remains a key point of contact for internal members and external stakeholders with questions about the mentoring schemes, ensuring appropriate management of the programme inbox and responding to inquiries we receive via this inbox.
-At least 3 years proven work experience as a programme manager or project manager for an impactful organisation.
-Paid or volunteer experience in launching or contributing to online community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series and writing email newsletters).
-Available to work to GMT / UK time zones.
-Industry knowledge and evidenced commitment to gender/youth equality and supporting the next generation of female professionals.
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritise multiple deadlines.
-Outstanding written and oral communications skills, with a proven ability to translate dense messages into relatable content.
-Educated to degree level in International Relations, International Development, Public Policy / Administration, Social Policy or another relevant field.
