A common misconception is that WIAN is just for young, entry-level women. Wrong! While we place special attention on the issues that early career women, graduates and students face - we are a platform for women of all ages, experience and capabilities. How membership works.
While membership is free, WIAN's Community and Engagement team vet each and every application. This is to ensure that each member is the right fit for the network, understands the community guidelines and will participate respectfully and professionally with their peers.
Fill in the membership application, which should take 5-10 minutes. You application will be reviewed within 3 working days, and you will receive a notification to the email address you signed up with, if your application has been successful. You will also receive your initiation documents, and can start connecting, engaging and networking with the other women in the community.
What is the Women in International Affairs Network?
WIAN is a community platform and curated global ecosystem for a generation of women future leaders, policy-makers, legislators, entrepreneurs and innovators using their careers to make the world a better place. From international development, foreign policy, international trade, human rights, technology, and social entrepreneurship, we have created a safe and authentic digital space for women at all levels and backgrounds to have community, conversations and career support through our membership.
What do I get as a member?

How long do I have to be a member for?
For as long as you want! We've made a commitment to offering our basic membership package for free, but will offer other, paid options for members who want a more intimate expericne. All our plans are offered on a rolling monthly or yearly basis - and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Do I need to be a member to receive the newsletter?
You don't have to be a member to receive WIAN's monthly round-up newsletter, but you won't have access to the member's only zine, which is a weekly download of career and industry relevant content, features, priority discounts and access to our programming and services, and other exclusive membership perks.
WIAN is the only space that provided me with a space for open dialogue on a global scale. I'd recommend it to any woman, at any stage, seeking support and a place to call home.
