She’s the First seeks an enthusiastic student or recent college graduate to join our Programs Team as an intern for 6 months, commencing January 2022. As a Programs Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our remote team to better deliver programs that improve outcomes for girls. This internship is designed for anyone who is passionate about girls’ and women’s rights and who is eager to help co-create a better world for them globally.

Role and Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who is curious, adventurous, and who is committed to making an impact for the girls we work with and for. In particular, we are looking for someone who identifies as an activist, who shares our values, can tackle organizational, research, and computer-based tasks. We’re also eager to work with someone who is unafraid to bring their authentic selves into the space and who is excited about the prospect of learning and unlearning with us.
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) for 6 months. The total internship stipend available for the entire 6 month period is Kshs, 150,000. Candidates must be willing and available to work remotely with 2-3 hours daily overlap with teams on Eastern Standard Time.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Student or recent graduate (certificate, diploma, or degree) with not more than 2 years of experience.
Passion to pursue further experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation.
Must be proactive, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
Interest or experience with working with girls ages 13-22 years is a prerequisite.
You're comfortable using Asana, Google documents, and/or Airtable, and you are generally savvy with project management tools and forms.
A keen eye for details and ability to balance multiple exciting projects.
