Job Description

The post-holder will take responsibility for working with the project team to develop and deliver training and resources to diverse audiences working with ‘Untold Stories’, an innovative microsite sharing testimonies and artefacts of victims and survivors of the Holocaust

Role and Responsibilities

Project support 

To work in collaboration with the project team to support the effective delivery of the project through leading on operational aspects, including: 

a) Liaising with project partners and external suppliers as necessary to ensure effective  communication 

b) Maintaining systematic communication protocols between project partners 

c) Managing project timeline and budget, in collaboration with project leads 


Workshop development 

To work in collaboration with the project team and other key stakeholders to: 

a) Create, with the project team, bespoke workshops designed for local civil leaders 

b) Create, with the project team, bespoke workshops designed for museum educators 

c) Ensure that the workshop offer is innovative and creative in approach, utilising digital resources developed through the project 

d) Contribute to the development of supporting learning materials and resources, to be utilised by local civil leaders and museum educators to widen the reach of the project 

e) Provide administrative support to ensure all learning opportunities are fully resourced 

f) Lead on, with the support of the project team, the development of appropriate processes for feedback and evaluation of programmes, particularly concerning key audiences 

g) Adjust workshop programmes and provision as necessary in light of evaluation findings


Programme delivery 

To work in collaboration with the project team and other key stakeholders to: a) Deliver workshops to local civil leaders, in line with stated project outcomes b) Deliver workshops to museum educators, in line with stated project outcomes 

c) Contribute to sessions of reflective evaluation and adapt workshops accordingly 


Relationship development and teamwork 

To work in collaboration with the project team and other key stakeholders to: 

a) Maintain open channels of communication with colleagues and project partners to ensure a holistic approach to the project 

b) Establish positive working relationships with local civil leaders to ensure that the workshops and microsite reaches a national profile. This will involve: Establishing key data on local audiences and civil leaders Managing logistical aspects of relationship development Providing support to local civil leaders in implementing learning from workshops 

c) Establish positive working relationships with museum educators to ensure that the workshops and microsite reaches a national profile. This will involve: Establishing key data on museum educators in relevant fields Managing logistical aspects of relationship development Providing support to local civil leaders in implementing learning from workshops 

d) Contribute to the development of measures that deliver effective learning and that the people and organisations receive the best possible visitor and learner experience. 


Professional development 

To work in collaboration with the project team to: 

a) Maintain an up-to-date knowledge in thinking around the development and delivery of Holocaust memorial and education. 


Other 

a) Ensuring that all professional codes of practice and legislative requirements are adhered to in programme delivery e.g. safeguarding children, health and safety. 

b) To undertake any other reasonable duties to support the work of the Organisation. 

c) Championing the aims, heritage and professional integrity of the Organisation both internally and externally. 

d) Compliance with corporate policy and procedures at all times.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications 

Person Specification 

• Experience of working with delivery partners and multiple stakeholders to achieve specific goals and outcomes 

• Relationship building/networking skills and experience of working sensitively with a range of stakeholders, 

• Experience of data handling, analysis and reporting

 • Ability to take initiative and prioritise effectively • Ability to work under pressure with meet tight deadlines 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Experience of project management (desirable) • Knowledge of the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution or recent genocides  (desirable) 

• Knowledge of the voluntary and / or community sector in the UK (desirable)
