$60,000 - $68,000 per annum
CHANGE was launched in 2020 as an initiative to harness the collective power of cities to transform government services and systems, with the ultimate goal of achieving gender equity within this generation. Mayors and local governments around the world have great power to improve the lives of those with marginalized gender identities, such as by providing more equitable public safety, educational opportunities, and equal pay initiatives. The success of international city networks on climate change, migration, and economic development highlights the role that networks like CHANGE can play in modeling positive policy change. CHANGE offers an opportunity to work directly with city leaders worldwide to measure and track progress toward gender equity at the city level.
The Data & Project Coordinator will develop data-focused materials and learning resources, and maintain a city-focused gender data dashboard and an interactive web application linking quantitative data to qualitative data stories. The Coordinator will also support CHANGE’s Secretariat in programmatic and administrative tasks. Additionally, the Coordinator will oversee CHANGE’s Data Working Group, made up of data managers from each of CHANGE’s eight member cities. The Data & Project Coordinator will be expected to travel internationally on occasion to engage with network member cities and promote CHANGE at relevant convenings.
This position is best suited for someone who excels in both autonomous and collaborative work environments — and most importantly, is excited to advance inclusive gender equity through evidence-based solutions sourced from all over the world.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Program Manager of the City Hub and Network for Gender Equity. The Data & Project Coordinator will work closely with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of International Affairs, as well as the executive offices of the seven other cities of CHANGE and future city members. If remote, the Data & Project Coordinator is expected to be available during traditional working hours in Los Angeles, approximately 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time.
