This position oversees Evergreen’s brand, including look, feel, voice across all marketing & communications channels. You are also responsible for a creative team and systems that support workflow to provide effective internal customer experience. With a creative eye and proven track record, the Manager, Brand & Creative Services will implement brand standards for all areas of design and production that deliver key brand campaigns, helping us amplify our story and connect with audiences across Canada.
This Marketing & Communications expert will inspire innovation, strategic thinking and creative excellence within the Marketing & Communications team and work collaboratively across the organization to expand Evergreen’s reach as a leading not-for-profit.
Role and Responsibilities
Partner with the Sr. Manager of Public Relations & Content and Digital Marketing Manager to inform the strategic direction and goals of initiatives
Partner with the Director, Marketing & Communications on brand strategy development
Work with cross-functional teams to develop compelling campaigns that meet the business objectives of the organization and advance the strategy with innovation and consistency
Oversee implementation of brand guidelines across all platforms
Provide guidance to the Creative Services team on the conceptual design, typography, layout, and colour selection of creative outputs against brand guidelines
Lead identified Marketing & Communications plans for key brand initiatives and various programs
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and freelancer networks such as printers, graphic designers, writers, photographers
Lead an effective internal customer service experience that delivers great work, on time and on budget.
Responsible for department systems that ensure resources and workflows are followed and optimized
Provide clear direction to the other members of the Marketing & Communications team, such as the Graphic Designer, Content Specialists/Writers and other team members responsible for implementation/posting/deployment
Demonstrate an intuitive grasp of organizational structure and work effectively across departments to achieve maximum impact
Promote and build internal commitment to an exceptional workplace culture and organizational values
Mentor others and take an active role in their professional development
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
5+ years relevant work experience
University or college degree/diploma in Communications or marketing field, or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrable skills that showcase creative thinking and design work
Knowledge of creative and design landscape including; inspiring work, design trends and standards
Proven project management skills
Campaign experience running brand activations on various channels and working with agencies
Experience executing brand standards across communication channels including web, social, print, signage
Knowledge of publication processes, production and pre-production
Knowledge of the digital landscape including; web, email design, social and emerging trends
Working knowledge of CMS, HTML an asset
French verbal and written skills an asset
