The Corporate Fundraiser will support the Relationship and Partnership Fundraising Team to deliver against its corporate strategy and generate sustainable income through the acquisition, management and development of corporate partnerships and donations. The role will also be responsible for supporting the Corporate Partnerships and Major Donor Programme Manager with team tasks as required, including coordinating the payroll giving programme.
Role and Responsibilities
Identify, secure and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, focusing on Charity of the Year partnerships, corporate donations, sponsorship opportunities, employee fundraising, payroll giving and gifts in kind.
Research potential corporate supporters and plan and deliver engaging approaches to them to secure support for the National Deaf Children's Society.
To provide excellent account management to our corporate partners, responding to telephone, mail, email and social media enquiries and ensuring all information is accurately recorded on the database.
To create and deliver an excellent supporter journey for corporate partners by providing regular communication and content, increasing engagement between corporate partners and the National Deaf Children’s Society.
Support the Corporate Partnerships and Major Donor Programme Manager to solicit and secure significant funding from new and existing corporate partners.
Manage the National Deaf Children’s Society’s Payroll Giving programme. Develop and implement approaches which increase income from payroll giving.
Implement all related administration, recording of income, banking, thanking and reporting for donations received, producing monthly activity and income reports, updating the database with key contacts and information.
Report to the Corporate Partnerships and Major Donor Programme Manager and Head of Relationship and Partnership Fundraising in a timely manner on Corporate Partnership initiatives, progress and targets as required.
To provide additional support across the Corporate Partnerships and Major Donor Programme as required, including support with Major Donor fundraising and team administration.
To promote positive images of deaf children and their families wherever possible.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Experience of corporate/professional fundraising or similar experience in a sales or business environment.
A demonstrable track record of managing and developing a range of Corporate Partnerships in a charity or commercial setting with a proven track record of success in managing and achieving set targets.
Demonstrable ability of developing new business relationships and increasing new contacts and networks.
Ability to adapt style of writing to suit a variety of audiences, from very formal to relatively informal.
Confident interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with stakeholders at all levels, either via phone, online or face to face, with the ability to influence a desired outcome through proactivity, determination and resilience to forge new relationships. Experience of presenting to a variety of audiences in a confident and successful manner.
Experience of dealing with queries in a fundraising setting or from members of the public and providing a high level of customer care.
Strong IT skills, including experience of using Excel and Word.
Experience of using databases to record information accurately and to provide reports.
Excellent organisational skills, including ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
Confident in using digital tools to communicate with stakeholders and willing to learn new digital skills relevant to the role.
Confident in using Customer Relationship Management databases with a good overall understanding of the applications of such systems.
Experience of researching prospective partners.
Knowledge or understanding of issues around deafness, including sign language skills and deaf awareness, or a willingness to learn.
Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience.
