The Partnerships Associate will support the effective management of relationships and collaboration with external partners.
Role and Responsibilities
Information and knowledge management:
Produce and update fact sheets on WFP operations and programmes in Niger aimed at an external audience.
Produce project sheets in collaboration with the programme unit for internal and external audiences. Support the drafting of operational information documents (country briefs, sitreps, OED, DOB, ACR, Dashboard and other briefs ...).
Support for budget monitoring in collaboration with the units concerned (Budget - Programme).
Support the follow-up of ad hoc requests submitted to donors (advances, requests for extension, SWAPs or transfers ...).
Update financing forecasts on Salesforces( forecasts...) and update the local account by archiving meeting minutes, talking points, local account updates and udating the list of donor contacts...).
Collect data and contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely funding proposals and donor reports.
Drafting of summary sheets of confirmed proposals for circulation to the units concerned in collaboration with the focal points.
Support the implementation of communication and visibility donor commitments with CAM (Communication, Advocacy and Marketing) Unit.
Support the development of the partnership action plan.
Set up an internal tool for monitoring donor requirements in terms of communication/visibility and monitoring of deadlines.
Implementation and/or updating of monitoring tools with other departments on donor requirement
Liaise as needed with Donors, NGOs and other UN agencies.
Contribute to planning and organizing high level visits and missions including budget preparation, itinerary, etc...
Coordinate donor meetings, attending and taking minutes where required.
Supports external meetings and events (e.g., meetings with Government and high-ranking officials).
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in French and English language.
Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Advanced University Degree (BAC+3) in International Development, Political Science, Communications, Economics, Statistics, Information Management, Journalism, Business Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Minimum 5 year’s post-secondary education professional experience with progressive responsibility, and preferably one year at post-graduate level work in a relevant area of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.
Ability to work in a team.
Experience with UN agencies is an asset.
