ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for the final part of our two-part virtual event series titled 'Pathways: Careers in Development, the Environment and Sustainability'. This session will focus on "Mainstreaming Biodiversity in International Development and becoming a Catalyst for Change". We'll be speaking with senior female professionals about building careers in international development, peace-building, disaster management and migration, and the important role the environment plays in these sectors.
SPEAKERS
We'll be sitting in with Alice Ruhweza, Regional Director for Africa at the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and Soma Chakrabarti, Gender, Social Inclusion and Climate Change consultant with various United Nations agencies, including IFAD and the FAO.
This virtual session will be moderated by Nadine Bowles-Newark, Deputy Head of Programmes at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP-WMC).
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Attendees will hear intimate insights into the careers of these senior women. You will also have the opportunity to enter our raffle, with winners getting a one-to-one follow-up career session with a selected panel member. You will have this time to ask any of your career questions, advice on personal and professional development, or simply learn more from their personal experiences and career journey.
